The Two Magpies Bakery, Southwold

The Two Magpies Bakery, Southwold

What a place! Enter this cool new cafe and bakery and prepare to feel straight at home.
Sit at the communal sharing table, enjoy a freshly baked croissant or pastry with an 'Indulgence' hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Open for breakfast daily from 7am, try their rose petal granola or porridge. There is always a home-made soup of the day in Winter. Freshly prepared sandwiches, ciabatta filled rolls for lunch or savoury pastries.

Whilst seated at the tables you can gaze through the huge window to the bakery to see them making the next batch of bread or pastries. A hive of activity and a real buzz in this gorgeous newly opened Southwold bakery.

Beautifully designed with a Scandinavian influence, clean lines, quirky use of old rolling pins as stair rails & coat hooks. The window is overflowing with goodies on sale, from Ottolenghi style meringues to pastries, muffins, cakes and breads. Lots of interesting rye or spelt flour breads and even their white bread starts from a sourdough base and has real flavour. Pop in and meet the owners Rebecca & Jim or chat to their super friendly and knowledgable, efficient staff.

Soon they hope to open on various evenings to serve stone baked pizzas, where you can bring your own wine. Keep an eye on their website for future events and pop up evening suppers!
